09/2011: It's celebrations all round at Work & Training and APlus Apprentice + Trainee Services who have recently won some fantastic industry awards.

As part of the 2011 Tasmanian Training Awards, Work & Training won 2011 ACPET Training Provider of the Year. More than 500 people helped celebrate the night with a total of 15 awards being given to well deserving recipients.

Skills Victoria held its annual 2011 Victorian Training Awards at the Palladium, Crown Casino. This year, an APlus Apprentice + Trainee Services student won the Victorian Koorie Student of the Year Award.

The Tasmanian and Victorian Training Awards are the premier event of the vocational education and training (VET) calendars. The awards are a chance to celebrate and honour outstanding achievement and innovation. The events provide an opportunity to recognise the valuable contribution apprentices, trainees, students, teachers, employers, and training providers make in ensuring each state has a strong skills base, so that Tasmanian and Victorian communities and industries can prosper – both now, and in the future.
