INGT Group Donate to Local Community Organisations

04/2011: INGT recently awarded grants totalling $15,000 to Learner Driver Mentor (L2P) Programs in Darebin and Moreland in Melbourne’s inner north in response to a request by APlus Apprentice + Trainee Services, a Group Training Organisation and RTO headquartered in Northcote that is part of the INGT group.

The grants were sourced from INGT’s community support fund which is a funding mechanism used by the four businesses in the INGT Group to support their local communities wherever they operate in Australia.

The L2P Program is a partnership between local government, Rotary, Victoria Police, the Salvation Army, Inner Northern Local Learning and Employment Network (INLLEN) and a number of other local schools, businesses and community organisations.

INGT’s donations through APlus Apprentice + Trainee Services will be used to purchase motor vehicles to help disadvantaged youth in Moreland and Darebin to learn to drive safely with the support of volunteer driver mentors. Learning to drive safely will also enhance the employability of the 150+ disadvantaged young people from the inner north participating in the L2P program.
