| INGT Joins the UN Global Compact |
|
04/2011: INGT recently joined the UN Global Compact which is a strategic policy initiative for businesses and not for profits committed to aligning themselves with universally accepted policies. The UN GC is made up of over 8,000 participants in over 130 countries. All members agree to uphold the Compact’s 10 principles in areas of human rights, labour, anti-corruption, and environment These principles are taken from The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, The United Nations Convention Against Corruption, and other official mandates. INGT understands that there is a need to govern ourselves in the most accountable and responsible ways possible. Not only does it make good business sense, but as a not for profit, it demonstrates our commitment to working with the global community as well as our local communities towards a better outcome for all. As a member, we will strive to make strategic decisions that take into account the 10 principles for both the short term and long term good of the global community.
